Our Week in Kindergarten
Our Week:
We have been learning about the Jurassic period. We have some class experts on dinosaurs. We had a special assembly on Sharks on Wednesday. Ask your children about the 23-foot basking shark that visited our classroom. Please check your children’s backpacks on Friday for the last Green Folder of the year. Your children may keep these folders. Your summer work will be in your child’s backpack. Please read the letter and the pacing schedule for summer work. End of year comments will be available in the Pirate Log on June 3.The rest of your child’s work will come home in a bag on Tuesday. This is the last Newsletter of the year. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. The class is very excited to become Grade 1 students!
Kindergarten Celebration:
Please come to the Kindergarten classroom for our 11:00 AM presentation on Thursday, May 28. Children should come to school on Thursday, May 28 in Sunday Best clothing for the celebration. Students are welcome to bring Stevenson sweats or PE clothing to change into for the afternoon. The students have been practicing songs with Mrs. West and are very excited to perform for you. We will move to the Cottage Lawn for a potluck lunch. Please be sure to reply to the Sign-Up Genius with numbers attending or food item to contribute. There is no Aquaterra the last day of school. Please send in snack for your child and lunch food, if they have specific diet restrictions or if you feel that they are particular about their lunch food. Bring big blankets or towels to eat on the lawn Picnic style. The last day of class, May 28, will have regular hours with afterschool care on the Big Playground. We look forward to seeing you, and celebrating your child’s accomplishments in Kindergarten. Thank you for all of your help this year with field trips, volunteering in classes, and for parties. Thank you to Risa Fowler, our room mom, and all of her organizational help this year.
