Our Week in Kindergarten
Our Week:
We have had a fun week preparing for our performance at Keck. We went to the auditorium on Wednesday and Thursday to watch and practice. The children were riveted while watching the older children. They read, colored, and completed schoolwork while watching performances.
This is our last week to splash in the ocean unit. Next week we will stomp into the Jurassic era and learn about our extinct friends. The students are busy preparing for the end of Kindergarten and getting excited for Grade 1.
Please send in a reusable bag or paper grocery bag to school by May 23 for us to send all of your child’s artwork, school notebooks, and workbooks from the year the last week of school. We will send out a sign up Genius for our end of the year potluck celebration on Thursday, May 28 @ 11:00.
Spring Performance:
The children have been practicing for this dance performance and are very excited to be on stage. It is expected that children will be available to perform in both Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16. If for some reason you are unable to do this, please contact [email protected] or [email protected] to let them know. The Friday performance is at 7:00 pm and the Saturday performance is at 4:30 pm. Drop off will be an hour prior to each show. Children need to be wearing slip-on or velcro shoes to assist with costume changes. You must sign your child in and out with a teacher posted at the fine arts building, located behind Keck Auditorium. Be sure to have your tickets for the performance. Extra tickets may be available in the office. We are looking forward to this extravaganza.
Reminders:
· Spring Dance Performance, May 15 @ 7:00 and May 16 @ 4:30
· Free Dress May 22
· No School May 25
· May 28 Kindergarten Last Day Celebration Potluck @11:00
Thank you,
Vicki Copeland and Manon Pratt
